Tablet tops region's ice cream faves

DUMFRIESSHIRE has chosen Scottish Tablet as its favourite ice-cream flavour.

Aside from their classic Double Cream Madagascan Vanilla, Scotland’s ice cream maker Equi’s has revealed the nation’s favourite flavours according to a new study for National Ice Cream Day.

Runner-up locally was Raspberry Ripple and in third place was the newly popularised Pistachio Swirl.

Equi’s Ice Cream spokesman Alex Equi said: “There’s something really special about seeing what Scotland’s favourite flavours are.

“Every part of Scotland has its own accent and personality and their own favourite ice cream flavour.”
