Singer Zoë releases new track
WIGTOWNSHIRE singer-songwriter Zoë Bestel has released her third single, ahead of her third studio album release later this year.
The 28-year-old folk singer, from Wigtown, has dropped her third single, ‘What do I deserve?’ from her upcoming album reverence.
The track sees the baritone ukulele player return to an introspective melancholy, reflecting on a time when judgement felt harsh, inescapable, and stifling.
In this song, Bestel calls upon the jury of her dearest to judge her, only to realise she’s been delivering the verdict on their behalf all along.
She explained:“The inner critic, and my own intuition battle it out in an overanalysis of who I see myself as through the eyes of people I fear are judging me.
“The songs ask for redemption, then offers an opportunity for growth.”
