IT is all change at boardroom level at Annan Athletic following the departure of three board members and the club treasurer. Explaining the changes, a club statement this week said: “Craig Robertson, Henry McClelland and Ian McLatchie have decided to step down from their roles on the club’s board. “Craig, who has served over recent years, and Ian, who joined last year, have stepped back due to work and personal commitments. “Former chairman Henry rejoined the board at the turn of the year and has helped the club through a critical and uncertain time as he spearheaded the community shareholder launch, as well as driving increased revenues into the club. “Through this period, Henry has offered his vast experience as a former chairman and board member with the best interests of the club at heart and this has been greatly valued by the board.” Also stepping back from her position of treasurer is Debbie Young. The statement added: “Debbie stepped forward to help the club in the treasurer role last year and brought experience and enthusiasm to the role, for which the club are indebted to her. “Debbie steps back having found it difficult to dedicate the time required to the role as she supports her sons’ blossoming football careers. “We’d like to place on record our grateful thanks to Henry, Craig, Ian and Debbie for their support, we wish them and their families all the very best for the future.” Athletic are now actively inviting applicants for the vacant board positions. They welcome conversations through any current board members or through email to the club secretary Susan Bryson at [email protected] They are very keen to fill the club treasurer role and would welcome any conversations with those with a financial background who feel they could help the club.
