Lotto cash for Riding of the Marches
ANNAN Riding of the Marches has been awarded a £10,000 grant from The National Lottery to support the continued development and delivery of the historic and cherished event.
The funding comes during a landmark year as ROM celebrates its 80th anniversary.
It will be used to help enhance community engagement, strengthen volunteer participation, and support activities that ensure the long-term sustainability of the event for future generations.
Joint convener George Campbell yesterday said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this generous support from The National Lottery Community Fund, particularly during our 80th anniversary year.
“This £10,000 grant is a significant investment in our community and in the future of the Riding. The event continues to thrive because of the dedication of volunteers and the support of local people, and this funding will help us build on that success while preserving an important part of Annan’s heritage for generations to come.
“We are extremely grateful to National Lottery players whose contributions make funding like this possible.”
