OAP hit by car in Thornhill

POLICE Scotland Officers are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was hit by a car in Thornhill at the weekend.

It comes after the 74-year-old man was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop at Drumlanrig Street, Thornhill at 11.45 am on Saturday, July 10. The pedestrian sustained minor injuries.

The vehicle involved was being driven by a female and is described as being a small white car.

A force spokesman added: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact Police on 101."
