UPPER Annandale extended their unbeaten run in the Dumfries Sunday League last weekend as they defeated Hole in the Wa 3-2 at Hope Johnstone Park. This was never going to an easy game for the Moffat lads against a good side. The visitors were on the front foot from the start and went 1-0 up after half an hour. This stunned Uppers who had missed some good chances while it was still 0-0. In the second half Uppers upped there game and were competing better physically and eventually got the equaliser through Dion Irving. This spurred the team on and they started to dominate proceedings. They created some more chances before going 2-1 up through Declan Wallace. A good chance to add a third goal came and went before The Wa made it 2 2. However, Uppers stuck at it and eventually got the winner through Kieron Nelson who fired home from 25 yards. This Sunday Uppers welcome league leaders Mid Annandale Rovers to Moffat, a win for the home side would see them go joint top of the Premier Division.
