Touch of class from Queens after young fan attacked
A YOUNG Queen of the South supporter who was attacked after the Partick Thistle away cup tie has been presented with a new jersey. Kieran suffered injuries after a group of individuals attacked him outside Firhill. Thankfully, the teen is on the mend and was able to attend Queens’ match with Stranraer last Saturday. And after the match, manager Peter Murphy and Kieran’s favourite player Ross Stewart caught up with him to present him with a signed top to replace the one that he was wearing at the time of the incident. Murphy said: “We were all shocked at what happened to Kieran when he was sticking up for another supporter younger than himself. “We saw him on Tuesday night when he was bloodied and bruised, so we are delighted to see him looking much better. “It’s a small gesture from the club but hopefully it’s something he is pleased with and he will remember as he continues to support the team for the rest of his life.”
