Time for tennis

THE Men’s Dumfries and Galloway Tennis Summer League began in earnest on Wednesday April 15. Dalbeattie 1st and 2nd team were the visitors to Nunholm and came away with two victories on the night. In a close match, Dalbeattie 2nd beat Nunholm 3rd, triumphing 3-1. In the other tie Dalbeattie beat Nunholm 4-0 in a more comprehensive but closely fought match. Nunholm 1st team’s trip to Castle Douglas to play Stewartry was cancelled due to weather conditions. The following evening, Thursday, Nunholm 4 team travelled to play Kirkcudbright but were beaten on the night 3-1.
