Thistle take on Anvils in County Cup

LOCHAR Thistle welcome Gretna 2008 to Wilson Park, Heathhall on Saturday in the first round of the SCFA Challenge Cup. Neither the reigning South champions Thistle nor the current Southern Counties Challenge Cup holders Gretna have played a game yet this year as a result of the inclement weather. An entertaining contest is expected, kick off is at 2 pm.

Meanwhile, in the same competition, Abbey Vale entertain Nithsdale Wanderers. Dalbeattie Star are at home to a Queen of the South XI, Lochmaben welcome Stranraer Reserves, Mids face St Cuthbert Wanderers and Wigtown host Creetown.
