ANNAN Athletic made the 500 mile round trip to Elgin one to remember with a triumphant 3-0 win at Borough Briggs.

Victory in Moray keeps the Black and Golds' season alive and kicking – with three games remaining they sit three points outside the coveted fourth place play-off place.

Athletic eventually took the lead eight minutes before the break when Cammy Clark's cross-cum-shot was directed into the net by Elgin man Dylan Ross.

With five minutes left on the clock Annan were awarded a penalty kick.

Wullie Gibson stepped up from 12 yards and fired a precise spot kick into the bottom corner before celebrating in front of the travelling fans.

And the perfect away day was complete in added time when the two strikers combined to add a third.

Tommy Goss slotted home for his sixth goal on his tenth appearance for the Black and Golds this season.
