Stewart rink claims trophy

THE final of the Express Tyres Trophy, sponsored by Express Tyre Service who covered the cost of all competitors ice fees, was played recently at Lockerbie Ice Rink. The final was between the rinks skipped by Jim Black and Dave Stewart. Dave Stewart’s rink took the lead in the first end with Jim Black’s rink levelling in the second, unfortunately that was about as good as it got for the Black rink as the Stewart rink dominated the rest of the game to win by eight ends to two.
