Skills on show at footy fest

EIGHTEEN youth teams attended Galabank last Saturday for a footy festival hosted by Annan Athletic Ladies and Girls. A football filled morning and afternoon was enjoyed by all who took part. The winning teams were as follows: U10: Workington; U12: Langholm; and U14: Queen of the South. As well as the five-a-side tournament there was also food, fun and prizes on offer. Thanks are expressed to stall helpers, volunteers, referees and coaches who all helped the day run smoothly. The event was part of the club’s fundraising events as part of the Cash For Kids Sports Challenge. They have also held a sponsored pyjama walk, had bucket collections at Annan Athletic men’s games and enjoyed a race night
