Sharks take a bite at league champions

SOLWAY Sharks picked up a brilliant victory over reigning league champions Leeds Knight at the Ice Bowl last Saturday. It was an incredible performance from the Dumfries outfit where they earned a well-deserved 2-0 win thanks to a Jonathan Yantsis double. But the team ran out of steam the following day on their travels to Telford Tigers. The Sharks lost 7-3 but did play well in a feisty second period where Yantsis, Jake Bolton and Duncan Speirs all got on the scoresheet. But the Sharks will aim for revenge against the Tigers this weekend at the Shark Tank. They face off against the Telford outfit on Saturday with a 7 pm start. The following night the side are back on the road to face Sheffield Steeldogs which will be their last match of 2025.
