SOLWAY Sharks are close to completing ‘Operation Sell-Out’ for their clash against Leeds Knight on Saturday.

The Dumfries outfit take on third place Knight’s at the Ice Bowl and want to make home advantage count with a bumper crowd. The team enjoyed a huge 5-4 away-day victory against league leaders Swindon Wildcats last Saturday.

Duncan Speirs and Kyle Carruth gave the Sharks the lead in the first period. Lewis Young netted in a lively middle frame to make the score 3-1 going into the last.

It was a high-scoring final period where Carter Hamill and Jonny Yantsis scored giving Sharks a close 5-4 win.

However, the following night was a deflating one as the Sharks lost 5-1 to Peterborough Phantoms. Joe Coulter netted for the visitors.

It was a standout weekend for Sharks netminder Jordan Marr on the road, saving a total of 98 out of 105 shots over the two games as well as picking up man of the match awards on both nights of action.
