Senior ladies comp

THE final of the Senior Ladies was played at Lockerbie Ice Rink last week for the Alex Robertson Trophy.

Rinks skipped by Margaret Rodger and Marion Murdoch contested the trophy.

The Murdoch rink took an early lead and, despite a valiant effort by the Rodger rink, they held on to win by six shots to three.

The winners were Marion Murdoch (skip), Eileen Broatch, Joyce Watkinson and Norma Fears, the runners up were Margaret Rodger (skip), Anne Key, Elaine Pryde and Marjorie Smith.

Jim Hogg, on behalf of the ice rink management, oversaw the presentation and thanked all who organised the competition before asking Stewart Robertson to present his father’s trophy and prizes to the winners and runners up.
