Scottish Cup action at Raydale

McIndoe stepped into the role after the resignation of Stephen Hatfield following the 3-0 defeat away to fellow Lowland League strugglers Cowdenbeath.

Earlier this season, the last time Gretna played Edinburgh Uni, Gretna ran out 7-2 winners to claim their first three points of the season.

However, the University were missing a number of key players that day and it will be a tough test for The Anvils at Raydale this weekend.

But, as is often the case in cup games, league form becomes irrelevant and Gretna will be desperate to get through to the next round where the club would receive a welcome financial boost and the chance of playing against league opposition.

Scottish Cup First Round: Saturday September 17, Gretna FC 2008 v Edinburgh University, Raydale Park, Gretna; Tickets available on Fanbase: Adults £8, Concession £6, U16 Free.
