Rugby returns to the Holm

MOFFAT Rugby Club’s combined Annan/Moffat U18 team welcomed Kilmarnock for their first league match of the season last Saturday.

It was a good game from both teams that saw the visitors take the win 48-29.

Thanks are expressed to all the supporters, coaches, officials, sponsors and volunteers. There was a great turnout to support the teams.

Meanwhile, Moffat’s senior team took to the pitch afterwards for their final summer friendly against Uddingston.

A great spirited game, with both teams looking ready for their upcoming season, was played on what was a very warm afternoon for both teams and the supporters.

Moffat took the early lead and managed to hold it throughout finishing the game 47-33.

The Senior team are at home again on Saturday for their West Division Three opener against Paisley RFC.

The club is also hosting its fun day at 12 pm, prior to the match getting underway at 3 pm.
