ROM runners have a blast

ANNAN and District Athletic Club were delighted with the turnout at their second ADAC ROM 1K and 5K events on Tuesday.

Participants in the event ranged from just a few weeks old to those in their 80s.

There was fun, laughter, and great competition throughout from the energetic 1K, to the 5K walkers, and some seriously fast racing at the front of the 5K pack.

5K Results:

1st U16 Male: Ashton Stubbs (ADAC).

1st U16 Female: Molly (ADAC).

Seniors:

1st Male: Duncan Scobie (DRC).

2nd Male: Darren Malin (DRC).

3rd Male: Michael Pattinson (Gretna Massive Running Club).

1st Female: Charlotte Smith (GMRC).

2nd Female: Donna Davison.

3rd Female: Angela McDowall (ADAC).

5K Walk Winner: Susan Kicul.

1K Winner: Imogen Cairns (Female and overall).

1k Male: Oliver Cronie.

The community spirit on display was amazing, with physical health, mental wellbeing, and inclusion at the very heart of the event.
