Ritchie century seals Scottish Cup win
CENTURY . . . Dumfries’ James Ritchie hit a century in the Scottish Cup

IN the Scottish Cup first round last Sunday, Vigilant Dumfries convincingly defeated visitors Stoneywood-Dyce by 129 runs.

A big Dumfries total of 286 for 7 was built upon James Ritchie’s first century for the club with an excellent innings of 110.

Adam Malik contributed 55 and Scott Beveridge and Ben Plowman both hit scores in the 20s.

In reply, Stoneywood-Dyce reached 157 all out with three wickets for Callum Reynolds-Lewis and Ritchie spun out four late wickets to cap a player of the match performance.

On Saturday, the 1st team is at home against Ferguslie in Western Premiership One, while Nunholm travel to play Ferguslie 2nds in Western Championship Two.
