PREPARE FOR BAKE OFF . . . Lockerbie Primary School pupil Brayden Kirkpatrick is asking locals to put their best cakes forward and take part in a homegrown version of the Great British Bake Off in aid of the Lockerbie Swimming Pool Trust.The competition boasts four categories - decorated cupcakes, gingerbread people baked or decorated, scones and sponge cake and show stopper - for different age groups from pre-school up.The Bake Off will take place next Saturday at Dryfesdale Church Hall and a coffee morning and bake sale will run alongside the event.Anyone interested in taking part can pick up an entrance form from the town hall.Brayden is pictured with committee members Rena Hastings and Jen McLeod
