Preparations conclude

THERE is just over a week to go until the 2025/26 South of Scotland League kicks off on Saturday July 26. But teams still have pre-season fixtures to play before then. Lochar round off their friendly schedule with a visit to Gillford Park to face Carlisle City. Abbey Vale head north to play West of Scotland outfit Larkhall Thistle. And Dalbeattie are set to welcome Carluke Rovers to Islecroft, kick off at 2 pm.

Meanwhile, Threave Rovers travel to face Penrith prior to the start of the new West League season.
