Powfoot juniors book final spot

THIRTY-SIX juniors comprising nine teams, from Crichton; Dumfries and County; Lochmaben; Powfoot; and Thornhill Golf Clubs, were welcomed by Gregg Sommerville to the regional qualifier for the Junior Golf Flag Competition at Thornhill last Friday. All teams thoroughly enjoyed playing the shortened nine-hole course and there was some great golf on show from the boys and girls. At the end of the day, the winners were Powfoot Team One: Freddie Hamilton; Benjamin Devine; Crue Nicholson and William Slade. They will go on to the national final at Gleneagles later this month, with best wishes from the other players.
