Newton take bragging rights

A DOMINANT Newton Stewart won the Spice Cup after beating Wigtownshire 80-14 at Bladnoch Park last Saturday. The game, played in front of a healthy crowd, went as many would have predicted. An on-form Newton side dominated the match but the Shire men fought valiantly throughout and did not give up. Newton return to National Two action on Saturday January 10 at home to Falkirk, while the Shire travel to Mid Argyll in West Division Two on the same date.
