Music festival success

TWO pupils from Annan Academy competed at the Galloway Music Festival in Castle Douglas last Wednesday. Eva Graham and Travis McKenna Johnston both competed in a number of bagpipe events, playing magnificently, impressing the judges and winning a number of prizes. Their results were as follows: Bagpipes solo under 14 - 1st Travis McKenna Johnston. Bagpipes solo under 16 - 1st Eva Graham; 3rd Travis McKenna Johnston. Bagpipes solo march under 18 - 1st Eva Graham; 3rd Travis McKenna Johnston. Bagpipes solo Strathspey and reel - 1st Eva Graham; 2nd Travis McKenna Johnston. Congratulations are expressed to both who continue to improve and continuously push themselves above and beyond all expectations.
