THE 2024-25 Club Championship final was played at Lockerbie Ice Rink last week.

The final of the competition, sponsored by Air Climate Solutions, who maintain the dehumidification system within the ice hall, and AC Little Builder, was played between the rinks skipped by David Hamilton and Robert McBride.

It was the McBride rink that started the better and led by six shots to one after five ends. The Hamilton rink then fought back to go into the last end all square at six shots each, where McBride scored the shot to win the game by one.

The winning rink consisted of skip Robert McBride, Matty Reive, Eileen Broatch and John Purdie, with the runners up being the rink of skip David Hamilton, Ewan Paul, Moira Hastings and Hazel Hamilton.

Gareth Owen, on behalf of the ice rink management, thanked the sponsors and all involved in the organising of the competition before asking Bud Little to present the trophy and prizes to the finalists.
