Man touched sleeping women

A MAN who sexually assaulted two women in Dumfries while they were asleep has been ordered to pay his victims £500 each.

David Sharpe, 52, of Brewery Street in Dumfries, was also placed on the sex offenders’ register and under supervision for three years, ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work and made the subject of a home curfew between 7 pm and 7 am for three months.
In court on Wednesday, Sharpe admitted committing the offences in the town: rubbing the thigh of one woman in 2011 and touching her between the legs and in the other case in February this year touching the woman on the leg and pulling her clothing.
