STORM Bert disrupted Christmas plans in Gretna Green last Saturday.
The scheduled festive lights switch on event was cancelled due to the weather and instead took place on Wednesday evening. In much better conditions, Santa and his elf helper arrived by tractor to the Old Blacksmith’s Shop complex.
After meeting waiting children and hearing of their Christmas wishes, the pair were invited to do the honours and flick the switch to transform the area into a seasonal wonderland.
