Ladies set for top of league clash

QUEEN of the South Ladies continued their sensational unbeaten start to the season and remain top of the League One pile. This time the team were on the road at Cambusdoon and got off to the perfect start when Jordyn Gallagher opened the scoring on four minutes. After being pegged back by the hosts, goal machine Holly Ovens restored the lead on 17 minutes. Once again, Cambusdoon levelled but Eve Crombie put Queens ahead for a third time in the early stages of the second half. And captain fantastic Charlotte Smith secured the three points with a long-range free-kick on 74 minutes. This Sunday, table-topping Queens host second place Dunipace at Palmerston Park with a 2 pm kick off.
