Johnstone wins it

THE final of the Brieryhill Trophy was held at Lockerbie Ice Rink recently between the Johnstone rink of Euan Paul (Skip), Claire Sloan, Jack Strawhorn and Lila Stewart and a Corrie rink of Jim Black (skip), Samantha Reid, Derek Murray and Ashley Stotard. It was a very close final with Johnstone eventually taking the win. This competition was kindly sponsored by Certas Energy (Brogan Fuels). Hazel Hamilton oversaw the presentation on behalf of Applegarth and Sibbaldbie the organising club before presenting the prizes to the finalists.
