Jewellery taken in raid

A LARGE amount of cash and jewellery were taken at a break in at a house in Dumfries earlier this week.

It happened at a property in Milehouse Crescent between 4 pm on Monday and 4 pm on Tuesday. Rolex watches, gold bracelets, bangles and rings were all taken in the raid.

Detective Constable Callum Little said: “We are currently carrying out door to door enquiries and are seeking the help of the public.  Milehouse Crescent sits off the busy road between Heathhall and Dumfries and we are asking drivers who may have been on that road over Monday or Tuesday to have a think if they might have seen anything suspicious.

“Anyone who has any information which might assist us in this enquiry is asked to call us at Dumfries on the 101 number.”
