Hogg rink wins

THE 2025-26 Club Championship final was played at Lockerbie Ice Rink recently. The final of the competition, sponsored by Air Climate Solutions who maintain the dehumidification system at the ice rink, and local firm of AC Little Builders, was played between the rinks skipped by David Hamilton and Jim Hogg. The Hogg rink started the better and led by nine shots to two after five ends. The Hamilton rink then fought back to close the gap to three shots- but the Hogg rink held on to win by nine shots to six. The winning rink consisted of skip Jim Hogg, Reuben Beattie, Tom Owen and Christine Ross, with the runners up being the rink of skip David Hamilton, Moira Hastings, Ashley Stodart and Maddie Maguire. Richard Smith, on behalf of the ice rink management, thanked the sponsors and all involved in the organising of the competition before asking Bud Little to present the trophy and prizes to the finalists.
