Harriers in marathon action
MARATHONS are hard at the best of times. Finishing one and having to get straight in your car and drive yourself a 150 miles back to Dumfries, well that just adds another layer. Megan Carson took it all in her stride. The Yorkshire Marathon Sunday past is now her second marathon and first as a Harrier, having recently joined the club. She finished in 4 hours and 51 minutes which bagged herself a 16 min PB, and she was very pleased to come in well under her five hour target time. On the other side of the world, Harrier Chris Renton was both flying the flag and dealing with a gruelling 95 percent humidity in the Bangkok Half Marathon. Coming back from a recent injury, and considering the conditions, he was more than happy to get over the finish line in 2:07:28.
