Hanley and Dykes play their part

DUMFRIES defender Grant Hanley and ex-Queen of the South forward Lyndon Dykes both played their part for Scotland last week. The duo featured in Scotland’s 3-1 victory over Greece at Hampden Park last Thursday. Dykes came off the bench to score Steve Clarke’s sides third of the contest. Hanley was rested for the Sunday night clash against Belarus but Dykes did come on during the nervy 2-1 win over the minnows. Scotland sit second in the qualifying group with two games remaining which will be played next month. A victory or a point against Greece would set up a Hampden World Cup shoot-out against Denmark.
