GREYHOUNDS: Zsa Zsa zooms ahead

The three-year-old bitch, owned and trained by veteran border trainer Rob Hyslop, led from the first bend finishing ahead of Magic Shift, a three-year-old bitch from Mark Little of Carlisle. Later, honours went south of the border when Macca Mini edged ahead in the run-in of a sprint race to win by 1.5 lengths. The 5/2 shot from the Bowie kennels at Cleator Moor was followed home by Wiggy's Black, a two-year-old dog from the Wiggins kennel at Kirkbride. Regular Gretna owner-trainer Dexter Clark had the edge over the same distance with his three-year-old sprint dog Spectre. He finished 1.25 lengths in front of challenger Flaming Rosie , a two-year-old bitch from Tony Hopper of Maryport.
