IT was double delight for Eaglesfield’s Linda Owen at the World Transplant Games.

She picked up gold medals in both curling and snow-shoeing for Team GB at the event in Bormio, Italy last week.

Linda, who had a heart transplant ten years ago, is pictured with Donato, the eagle chick mascot of the Games.

She described it as a great week and added: “It was an amazing experience to celebrate life and honour our donors.”

And she’s already got her sights set on the next Winter Games in two year’s time
