Day dawns for gifted wedding

A VERY special wedding is due to take place at Gretna today - after the community rallied to make sure it’s a memorable occasion.

The nuptials are being organised by the Gift of a Wedding charity

They said: “We have been given the incredible honour of creating a wedding for a terminally ill groom, whose greatest wish is to marry the love of his life and share a beautiful day filled with love, happiness, and precious memories with family and friends.”

The charity made a series of appeals to local suppliers over the last few weeks and are delighted at the response, having managed to secure make-up, hair, rings and venue dressing, adding: “Together, we can create a day filled with love, comfort, and unforgettable memories for a groom who deserves all the kindness and support we can give.”
