DAN Carmichael will wear black and gold once again next season after agreeing a deal to remain at Annan Athletic as they take on League Two. The 34-year-old signed for the club in the January transfer window this year, coming from South of Scotland league side Dalbeattie Star, where he was the club captain. Carmichael was out of action for a while last season with an injury not long after he signed, meaning he has had limited game time for the club. However, upon returning from injury, the midfielder made a positive impact towards the end of the season and racked up ten appearances since signing, three of which were in the league one play-offs. Speaking to the media team after signing on for the upcoming season, Carmichael said: "I’m delighted to sign on at Annan Athletic for another year. "It was an easy decision to stay at the club as the lads are brilliant group to play with. "I’m looking forward to get going again for the season ahead and hopefully get the club promoted back up into league one again.”
