QUEEN of the South Ladies cruised past Saint Anthony’s to secure their spot in the second round of the Scottish Cup. And it was goal machine Haylie Crosbie who grabbed the headlines with a hat-trick in a 5-2 victory at Palmerston on Sunday. Crosbie netted first inside the first minute before captain Charlotte Smith doubled the Doonhamers’ advantage two minutes later. [caption id="attachment_63522" align="alignnone" width="247"]

GOALS . . . Haylie Crosbie[/caption] The dream start continued with Charlotte Bryden notching a third before Crosbie hit her second seconds before the interval. The visitors did get back into the contest on the hour mark but any chance of a comeback was put to bed when Crosbie scored her third. Saint Anthony’s did pull one back but in the end it was a comfortable cup tie for the Ladies who continue their fantastic start to the season. They will host St Mirren Ladies in the next round. Queens are back in League One action this Sunday as they face a gruelling trip up north to take on Westdyke.
