Co-coaches for Annan 1st XV

ANNAN RFC 1st XV will be led by two head coaches next term.

In the last week the Violetbank club announced the appointments of Andrew ‘AJ’ Jancey and Conor Palmer as co-head coaches of the senior men for season 2025/26

AJ needs no introduction, with over 300 appearances for the 1st XV over the years, he has been with Annan since his mini days back in the 1990s.

He stepped down from playing 1st XV rugby last season – albeit with a brief super sub cameo in one match – but was involved with the 2nd XV as player and coach as they had successful West Reserve 2 campaign which culminated in a championship win.

Meanwhile, Conor was Annan U16 and U18 Boys assistant coach during seasons 2019-22.

He returns to Annan Rugby with a wealth of coaching experience following various roles with RAF Leeming Hawks, RAF Northern Stags and Edinburgh Uni as well as the odd appearance for the Annan 2nd XV.
