QUEEN of the South could move up to second spot in League One this weekend. But the Doonhamers will have to get the better of Stenhousemuir at Ochilview this Saturday to leapfrog the Warriors – managed by former Queens gaffer Gary Naysmith. It is also possible Queens could climb to the top of the third tier pile if they win and Inverness lose at home to Peterhead. However, Queens boss Peter Murphy is keeping his feet firmly on the ground as he knows how difficult a challenge it will be to beat Stenny. He said: “Stenhousemuir defy logic with the way they keep picking up results. The way Gary has them set up is hard to beat, they are very efficient in what they do. They keep picking up points, you cannot argue with that. “We’ve got to make sure that we are on our best terms on Saturday. “If we apply ourselves the way we did against Hamilton then we shouldn’t have a problem, but Gary is very shrewd in the way he sets his teams up so it’s up to us to break them down.” It was a perfect afternoon on the field for Murphy last weekend as Queens battered sorry Hamilton 4-1 at Palmerston. Matty Douglas notched a hat-trick whilst sub Jack Stott netted a late fourth.
