SOLWAY Sharks has announced the signing of Jake Bolton, above. The Canadian spent three seasons in the Elite League with the Guildford Flames and Glasgow Clan where he showed his offensive skill. In his season with the Flames, he scored 31 points with 14 of them being goals from defence. Then he made the move to the Clan where he carried on his point scoring, getting 19 points in 60 games. Bolton brings plenty of experience to the Sharks having played in some top leagues in America, including the NCAA and ECHL.

Meanwhile, John Dunbar has departed after he has chose to pursue other opportunities. Dunbar was a crucial part of the Sharks team on and off the ice over the past two seasons A Sharks spokesman said: “We thank him for his contribution in getting us to where we are today which is a team and structure ready for silverware.” Meanwhile, after weeks of hard work behind the scenes, the Solway Sharks Official Supporters Club has been launched.
