STRANRAER blew away Motherwell B under the lights at Stair Park on Tuesday night in the KDM Evolution Trophy. The Blues claimed a 3-0 win, continuing their impressive run of form in the competition with goals coming from Deryn Lang, Daniel McManus and Sallu Turay. Coach Martin Fellowes said: “I’m really pleased. The manager made a raft of changes, everyone who was on the bench on Saturday came in to play tonight. “A wee change of shape, three goals, a good performance and clean sheet. I said to the gaffer with three minutes to go that a pleasing thing was also coming through it with no injuries. “It was a successful night, I think. “It’s been a tough run of league fixtures, we’ve had some strong performances but not picked up the amount of points that we would want to pick up. “It was great the manager was able to give them (the players who haven’t been playing) an opportunity tonight and show we’ve got a big squad here. “It’s giving him real food for thought and us, as a staff, a real food for thought going into Saturday’s game.” The Blues travel to Dumbarton this weekend for a League Two fixture at The Rock, kick off is at 3 pm. Seven games have been played in the league and Stranraer are still without a win. Fellowes hopes that can change on Saturday, he added: “We know how tough the next run of fixtures are and we know how hard we’re going to have to work to take points out of them. It’s our job to try and make sure we try and give ourselves the best chance of doing that.”
