Black rink take league honours

THE Lockerbie Ice Rink League, sponsored by Ark Veterinary Centre, has been contested by six teams throughout the season. It all came down to the last game, with Jim Black’s rink needing a win to claim overall victory in the competition. The Black rink held their nerve and ran out winners, beating Waterbeck by five shots to two. The runners up were Rae Graham’s rink. Richard Smith, on behalf of Lockerbie Ice Rink management, congratulated the winners and runners up before asking Callum Cameron, representing the sponsor, to present the prizes.
