ANNAN Ladies returned to SWFL South home action last Sunday and signed off for the Christmas break with a solid 2-0 over a competitive Harmony Row side.

From the first whistle to the last, the Black and Golds showed great work rate across the pitch.

The team pressed well, moved the ball confidently, and earned a well-deserved clean sheet thanks to disciplined defending and composure under pressure.

Harmony Row played their part in an entertaining match and pushed Annan throughout, deserving credit for a good contest.

The Ladies now have the Christmas break to enjoy before returning to action on January 11, when they take on Ardrossan at Galabank.

Rhian Williams and Jessica Wallace were the Annan goalscorers, while player of the match was Amelia Hogg.

Elsewhere, the Gretna girls made the trip to Ardrossan for their final fixture of the year.

The Anvils were beaten 4-1 by their opponents. They restart on January 18 at home to Benburb.
