Appeal after farm break-in

PROPERTY worth more than £1000 was stolen during a farm break in at New Abbey over the weekend.

It happened between 8.15am and 1.15pm last Friday.

The thieves took a Samsung television, Panasonic DVD, a computer hard drive, a silver toast rack and teapot.  Constable Karen Lypka of Police Scotland at Dumfries said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area of New Abbey last Friday morning to get in touch through 101 if they saw or heard anything suspicious. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have had any suspicious callers to their home that day.”
