Anvils U20 take title crown

GRETNA FC 2008 U20 were crowned West of Scotland Development League Conference A Champions at Raydale Park last Friday night. Jay Mackay scored a brace for the Black and Whites as they beat Larkhall Thistle 2-0 in front of a healthy home crowd. Kyle Wooding-Holt’s side have enjoyed a terrific campaign, winning 12, drawing one and losing just one of their 14 games. First team boss Vinnie Parker praised the youth side, he said: “It’s outstanding and thoroughly deserved. We’ve got a real talented bunch there, and they train really hard. I know how much work Kyle and his coaching staff put in. “Huge congratulations to them, it’s great for the club going forward.”
