Annan lose out in Glasgow
IN their final away fixture of the season, Annan Athletic Ladies travelled to face Harmony Row in what proved to be a challenging encounter as they ended up on the wrong end of a 5-1 scoreline. Despite a committed start, the Black and Golds went into the break 2-0 down, with the hosts taking their chances in the first half. After the restart, Harmony Row extended their lead to 4-0, putting the game firmly in their control. However, Athletic continued to battle throughout the second half and were rewarded when they pulled a goal back through Phoebe Thorburn to make it 4-1. But Harmony Row added another goal to round off a 5-1 victory. The ladies are back at Galabank on Sunday as they host Newton Stewart in their penultimate game of the season. Elsewhere, Gretna 2008 Ladies fell to a 7-0 defeat at home to Ardrossan Winton Rovers. The Black and Whites travel to Benburb on Sunday.
