Aitken is manager of the month

STRANRAER manager Chris Aitken has been named Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Month for December. A strong close to the calendar year has earned the Stair Park boss recognition. The Blues kicked off the month with a 3-2 home win against Stirling Albion, before securing a 2-1 victory over Elgin City. The club also drew 1-1 with Dumbarton, and 2-2 with Annan Athletic. Aitken said: “It’s always nice to receive these awards as it means what we’re doing here is positive. I know this award says my name but it’s not possible without my staff that I have behind me, and most importantly my players. "Their attitude, commitment and work ethic has got us this award and I’m proud to accept it.”
