The work saw over half a kilometre of road resurfaced, which will benefit over 10,000 motorists who use the route each day. Due to the nature of the works, and to protect the workforce and motorists alike, a total road closure was put in place on the A75 from the layby east of Annan to Prestonfield Road from 7 pm on Friday to 6 am this morning. And the project was completed ahead of schedule. A spokeswoman for Scotland TranServ said: "Scotland TranServ completed the resurfacing works ahead of schedule on the A75 at 11.30 pm on Sunday 17 April.”
