Wow pictures by teens

WHEN Annan Academy tasked students with drawing or writing about those who have inspired them during the coronavirus outbreak, they didn’t expect such an amazing response.

And detailed pencil portraits by two teenagers have particularly attracted lots of attention – and praise.

Evie Bryden, 13, was moved to draw Captain Tom Moore, above, who turned 100 yesterday and has so far raised over £29 million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden.

Meanwhile, Mason Sibbring, also 13, drew journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan. Mum Hayley explained: “He chose to draw Piers for asking all the direct questions that help keep our NHS/key workers safe (one of which is his Dad) and for drawing attention to the amazing people like Captain Tom. These are important to Mason as his dad works frontline for the Ambulance Service after retiring from the Army after 26 years in the RAMC.”

She has tagged Piers and the GMB TV show on social media in the hope that he will see it.
